Police investigating a number of incendiary devices sent via the post to locations in London and Glasgow earlier this year are appealing for anyone who may have information about the origins of the devices, or who handled them, to come forward and help them with their inquiries.
This was physiotherapist Theresa McIntyre after finishing a half marathon in lovely Stornoway on Sunday. Theresa took advantage of the bank holiday weekend to head off to the Hebrides and raise some money for one of her favourite charities, Alzheimer Scotland, which looks after people with dementia.
The Society of Editors has warned of severe consequences if plans to restrict young people’s access to news websites go ahead. Writing to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the Society says proposals to ensure news websites are age appropriate risk doing untold harm to legitimate media companies, even forcing some regional titles to fold.
