Helensburgh and towns and villages across Argyll and Bute have seen a big inflow of new residents in recent years.
And this is increasing as more and more personnel are arriving to bolster the already significant work force at HM Naval Base Clyde’s Faslane and Coulport establishments

Murdered journalist Lyra McKee was honoured posthumously at the Regional Press Awards where the industry came together to recognise excellence in journalism.
Over 150 households in Dumbarton, the Vale of Leven and Helensburgh have benefited from the scheme’s help since it was launched in 2015, each of them saving over £300 on their energy bill per year.
The charity also offers help and support on a wide range of issues including suicide prevention, employment, and children and young people.
