Operation Christmas Tree was a true team effort. The 18-foot and 30-foot trees were sourced from MOD land just outside of RNAD Coulport, felled by Babcock’s Ground and Waste Team, delivered by base transport and in some cases erected by Royal Marines from 43 Commando and visiting Dutch Marines.
The Lennox Heritage Society’s season continues at the Concord Community Centre at 7.30pm on Wednesday 20th November. Doctor James Scullion will present “DRAMA AS BRUCE SEEKS REFUGE IN LENNOX”. It is 1306 and following severe defeats at Methven and Dal Righ, Bruce’s rebellion faces collapse. He is pursued into Lennox where he unites with Malcolm II, Earl of Lennox at Gartmore. Admission £2 for non members. Membership £8 gives admission to the season’s remaining 6 talks. Tea and coffee available from 7pm
