Complete autonomy for our native land. That what is normal for the 195 countries recognised as full sovereign states by the United Nations should be considered a prayer to be put up, a prize to be fought for, by Scotland, a mature and wealthy nation, is a stain on natural justice. Yet both a prayer and a prize it is and now we have it within our grasp.
We know that far-right, opportunistic provocateurs are using this discontent as leverage for their own agenda and ideologies rooted in the demonisation of “the other”. That is a fact. It’s happening online, and it’s happening on the ground.
The preview evening of Our Little Arts of Love Exhibition for Marys Meals will be opened on Thursday 7th November, 6.00-7.30, by our local Oscar award winner Chris Reilly .
Paintings by local artists plus crafts and cards will be on sale and all money raised will go to Mary’s Meals to help feed the over one and a half million children being fed at school in some of the poorest countries of the world. It only costs £13.90 to feed a child at school for a whole year.
The exhibition will run until 14th December in the Backdoor gallery in Dalmuir Library
During the Library open hours. On Saturdays the exhibition will be manned and crafts and cards will be on sale then.
