THANKS TO 1ST DUMBARTON BEAVERS, CUBS AND SCOUTS FROM MARIE CURIE

This event was very successful despite the appalling weather on Saturday morning. I took a table myself to raise funds for the Marie Curie Nurses. Ably assisted by my wife, Bernie, I signed copies of my latest book, Two Minutes Silence, which we gave away FREE in exchange for a donation to Marie Curie being placed in the big yellow bucket. We would like to thank the 1st Dumbarton Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, who gave us the table free of charge as a donation from them. And all the extremely generous people who came along and chipped in a total of around £150 for Marie Curie, whose nurses care for terminally ill people in their homes, giving families, invaluable time off. Caring is an exhausting and stressful business for all involved. You can help Marie Curie this Christmas by volunteering your time or making a donation. Bill Heaney
