POLICE CALL FOR WITNESSES AFTER TWO CAR CRASH

Police Scotland can now confirm the identity of the Argyll man who died in a road crash on the B842, south of Stewarton, Ayrshire,  around 5pm on Saturday, 18 January, 2020.

He was Ian Smith of Campbeltown, Mull of Kintyre, Argyll.  The 30-year-old man’s vehicle was involved in a collision with another car but he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Sergeant Nicola Taylor, of Argyll and West Dumbarton Road Policing, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Mr Smith at this difficult time.

“Inquiries are ongoing into the crash and I would ask for the public’s assistance with our investigation. 

“If anyone was in the area at the time of the crash, or has any dashcam footage that can assist us, please get in contact.

“I would like to thank everyone who has helped with our inquiries so far.”
