Great photographs of the way we were, the way we are, and the way we’re gonna be by ace photographer Alan Ruine. This is Dumbarton Quay. Unfortunately the signs detailing the bird life and the history of shipbuilding were so dirty and neglected that that they had to be cleaned up in order to take the pictures. It’s time the Council did some basic housekeeping and cleaned up this picnic area. It could be nice, really nice, but while the council are implementing austerity cuts in an ongoing basis, money is being squandered. And while they are at it, they should have a look around the back (and the front) of Cherrytree House, next to the railway bridge in Strathleven Place. That is now a dump and it’s no excuse even if it is on land owned by the company that owns the St James Retail Park. We’ll spare you the pictures of that.
