JACKIE BAILLIE MSP THANKS LOCAL POSTIES FOR THEIR HARD WORK THROUGHOUT THE PANDEMIC

Jackie Baillie, MSP for Dumbarton Constituency, has passed on Christmas greetings to posties at the Royal Mail sorting office in Alexandria.

Christmas is the Royal Mail’s busiest time of the year and Jackie Baillie saw the hard work and dedication of our local posties in sorting and delivering festive parcels, cards and letters.

Jackie Baillie, pictured right, also took the opportunity to thank them for all their hard work throughout the pandemic, especially for the delivery of lots of letters during this year’s Scottish Parliament election campaign.

Jackie Baillie MSP said:  “As key workers, Royal Mail staff have been working flat out with little respite throughout the pandemic and it is getting even busier in the run up to Christmas.

“It was great to meet the team here in Alexandria and to thank them in person for their extraordinary efforts. As we approach the Christmas season they will be delivering Christmas parcels and cards, spreading a bit of cheer after what has been a very challenging year for many.

“I hope that we can all do our bit by posting our cards and gifts early.  On behalf of all my constituents in Dumbarton, the Vale of Leven, and Helensburgh and Lomond, thanks to all the posties across the constituency for everything you do!”

SHOULD HAVE GONE TO THE POST OFFICE
