KILTWALK: A Letter From Sir Tom Hunter

Dear Kiltwalk Hero,

Hope you’re well and any sore feet or blisters are fine after our tartan trek last week?  It’s been worth it.

So, here’s the big news, the Kiltwalk community raised more money at the Glasgow Kiltwalk 2022 than ever before.

At midnight’s deadline:

An astonishing £2.7 million was raised by you and 10,000 Kiltwalkers.  And this morning I’m very happy to add £1.35 million to that amount.

All your fundraising plus The Hunter Foundation’s 50% top-up means £4,050,000 is now on its way now to 685 different Scottish charities. And how these charities large and small need our support more than ever, especially after the last couple of years.

In 6 years, 110,000 Kiltwalkers have raised £22 million and The Hunter Foundation has added over £11 million a total of £33 million for nearly 3,000 Scottish charities.
I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time and making the effort to help the charity that you really care about.

Your own charity will be in touch to thank you for your generosity but I also want to tell you personally how much I appreciate everything you achieved by wearing a bit of tartan and setting out in the sunshine to do something very special for your chosen charity. You’re making a difference and are part of something unique.

Thank you for your Kiltwalk Kindness.

Tom and everyone at Kiltwalk

P.s. Exclusive news… Sunday April 30 for the 2023 Glasgow Kiltwalk. See you there if not before at Aberdeen, Dundee or Edinburgh this year.
