The Conic Hill path from Balmaha has re-opened after Forestry & Land Scotland have advised that the trees brought down on the path during Storm Isha have now been cleared.
Further work will be carried out by FLS in coming months to tidy up the area so visitors are advised to pass with care if contractors are on site.
However, there is still work underway on the West Highland Way at two sites close to Conic Hill. Garadhban Forest, north of Drymen, is closed to allow for removal of Larch trees infected with Phytopthera ramorum disease. And between Garadhban and Conic Hill, two bridges are being replaced over Kilanden Burn and Burn of Mar.
The current advice for West Highland Way walkers is to follow diversion signs from Drymen and take the low-level route down Creity Hall Lane to Milton of Buchanan and along the B837. This diversion was due to be lifted in time for Easter Weekend.
