Search for ‘the voice of Lidl’s self-checkouts’ in Scotland

Lidl Supermarket are looking for a new Scottish voice for their self-service checkouts across Scotland.  The competition is presented by actor Alan Cumming.

Laura Hay from Helensburgh is one of ten finalists hoping to become the friendly voice at Lidl. Laura said: “It could be me politely instructing you to please place the item in the bagging area, or, unexpected item in the bagging area”
Alan Cummings described Laura as the “Roberta Burns of modern day commerce”.
Marco Ivone, Regional Director for Scotland at Lidl GB, voiced “Our search for ‘the voice of Lidl’s self-checkouts’ in Scotland is a fun way to celebrate the roll out. I am proud that a member of our Lidl community in Scotland will become the voice of our check-outs and add a Scottish charm to our customers daily shops.”
