Event 217 – 25th October 2025
What a beautiful morning it was on Saturday at Levengrove!
An impressive 194 parkrunners joined us for our 217th event, making it our 5th highest attendance since we started back in December 2019.
We’d like to extend a special welcome to our first timers – the 38 people who joined us for their very first parkrun today. We hope you loved the experience and we’ll see you back again soon. Remember, it gets easier each week, honest!
Congratulations to 27 parkrunners who smashed their PBs!
We had a number of special milestones:
Anna Grant completed her 200th parkrun at Levengrove – well done!
Well done to those completing their Couch to 5K programme – what an amazing achievement!
Big thanks to everyone who brought sweets to celebrate their milestones – they definitely hit the spot and were much appreciated by everyone.
We loved welcoming visitors from near and far today, including tourists from as far away as Exeter. Hope you enjoyed your visit to Levengrove and safe travels home.
None of this would be possible without our brilliant team of 17 volunteers who dedicated their Saturday morning to make parkrun happen. Huge thanks to:
Kirsty ORMOND • Sharon GOLDIE • Anna NAPIER • Fiona MCHARD • Paul LYDEN • John DEMPSTER • Gerry MCELROY • Ann CRAWFORD • Lawrence MALLEY • Sheila GILDEA • Alan STEWART • David BRAID • Andy GOODHALL • Jim BELK • Luke GRAY • David GORDON • Fiona BRAID • Maureen BYRNE
Next time you see our volunteers, please give them a big thank you. And if you’ve never volunteered before or if it’s been a while, we’d love to have you join the team – we have some key volunteer roles to fill next week. So please drop us an email to levengrove@parkrun.com or comment below if you can.
Volunteering is a great way to contribute to our Levengrove community and see parkrun from a different perspective.
See you all next Saturday when Theresa McIntyre will be your Run Director for our Halloween special – costumes encouraged… but not mandatory.
