All roads lead to Drymen Show

The Drymen Show is one of the highlights of the year and it will be held on Saturday, May 26, at The Showfield by Drymen Bridge on the banks of the River Endrick on the border between West Dunbartonshire and Stirlingshire.

It’s a great family event featuring not just fun events but the serious business of livestock judging for horses, cattle and sheep.

There will be an equine stunt team Les Amis d’Onno which will give a display of Cossack-style riding to the big crowd that is expected to attend this year.

Previously, the show has been hit by heavy rain, so the prayers are for sunshine this year.

Best to bring the appropriate gear though to cope with either sunshine or showers and make it a welly-good day out.

Taking the show to new heights this year will be helicopter rides over Loch Lomond, a Mary Berry-type Bake Off contest and do racing of the terrier variety.

Admission is £8 for adults, a fiver for senior citizens and juniors aged five to 15. Small children go free. A family pass for two adults and two children is £25.
