ERSKINE PARK’S JACKIE WINS TOP AWARD

Jackie said: “I am completely overwhelmed to have received this award.  I was so delighted when I was told that I had been nominated but didn’t think for a minute that I would have been a finalist let alone a winner.   I very much enjoy my job at Erskine.  Engaging with our residents and supporting our relatives is a huge part of my daily routine and I enjoy this part of my job very much.  I am feeling so honoured just now and I am proud to be part of the Erskine Team.”

NOTEBOOK

Unsurprisingly, Stephen West, the council’s finance officer, complained to the secrecy-obsessed council that information had been divulged to some people before the official report was due out. No one appears to have told Mr West that in Dumbarton a secret is something you tell one person at a time. Or he didn’t hear what was going on in the acoustically challenged council chamber?

WHEN AUTUMN LEAVES START TO FALL

The falling leaves of red and gold

But I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall
Since you went away the days grow long
And soon…
