A new Morrisons Daily store has been opened on the site of the former McColl’s store and Post Office in Dumbarton High Street.
Morrisons acquired McColl’s, which was before that part of a Dumbarton Co-op complex, last year and have converting it into a Morrisons Daily.
It’s a convenience store opposed to a supermarket which Morrisons already have two of in Dumbarton and Helensburgh.
The Post Office, which used to be in the Artizan Centre, has now been moved to the front of Morrisons Daily whose doors open on to High Street.
A Morrisons spokesperson told The Democrat that the new store will be open 7am – 9pm Monday to Sunday.
Publicity material posted through the doors of houses in Dumbarton are advertising special offers that will be available at the newly refurbished store over the next few days.

STOP PRESS: People going into the new Post Office to post anything have been told that the post box has been stolen already. One person tells me the new store is “a shoplifter’s paradise”. Editor
